PUTIEN
Putien is a Chinese restaurant with a long history rooted in Singapore. The restaurant not only delivers the unadulterated tastes, but also heartwarming, sincere service and gastronomical experience as welcoming like one's home. To reflect this unique value, a mixture of warm tone timbers, inviting lightings and bespoke panel screens transplant the warmth of the atmosphere from Singapore to the CBD of Shanghai.
Located at a recessed area in the mall with limited circulation and exposure, the elongated and shallow space is turned to be the opportunity to introduce a vibrant and extensive open shopfront as greeting from distance, the restaurant becomes an anchor destination. With the window façade facing west, excessive sunlight is screened off by curtains and timber louvers, allowing guests immersing in daylight with nods to contemporary Chinese design.
The elongated main dining hall is divided into three cozy spaces with banquet seatings and translucent screens. Guest is greeted and lead through the main hall with a set of oil painted canvas panels as the end focal. Hints of brand color in aqua blue and a mix of contrasting tangerine is scattered in between the warm wooden rhythm. Orchid, louver, ceiling fan and rattan materials together curates a oriental touch from their Singapore origin.
